A New Superintendent

Well, we did it. It was a unanimous decision, assisted by many stakeholder groups but primarily by Sandy herself, who just blew it out the box with her interviews, convincing any and all skeptics.

Another article in the IJ features Paul's boss, Bill Hurley, discussing the turnover of superintendents and why he's not tempted.

I really like Sandy. My interactions with her have been nothing but helpful and positive. I have to say, I hav emailed with alot of questions, and she has beenso respectful and helpful.

I think she is a great choice.

I'm so pleased. I'm never sure how many people will share my logic. It's good to find that in the end the decision makers didn't hold her age and gender against her.

I think it is great to have someone who is invested in the community, with long-term plans to stay.

I would really hope her age and gender did not play a part in any decision!
