Well, the Ithaca bond passed with the highest-in-a-long-time turnout (17 percent), proving that cold weather is not a deterrent. The bond included many important fixes but also packed in a lot of ridiculous fluff--Paul's favorite is the very expensive Astroturf football field for a team that hasn't won since I was in high school. However, its passage is probably good news for Dryden's much less costly bond.
