We Think We Have Problems

In New Hampshire, until now known mostly for snow and primaries, parents may now demand an alternative curriculum for any piece of their child's schooling that they find objectionable. This way lies madness.

I love it! But that's not even the best part -- "Other issues pending before the state government include a bill to only allow legislature-approved candidates to run for the U.S. Senate, an end to the teaching of evolution in the schools and a provision to allow the legislature to dissolve the judiciary."
New state motto -- "Live free and die."

Not to mention the NH folks who wanted any laws from now on to be based on the Magna Carta, which states, among other things, that you need not pay interest on loans to Jews. Turned out that the people who proposed that had not actually read the document.
