Stupidity

Inertia wasn't enough. Now Krugman, truth-teller that he is, lets us know how stupid we are.
[K]now-nothingism — the insistence that there are simple, brute-force, instant-gratification answers to every problem, and that there’s something effeminate and weak about anyone who suggests otherwise — has become the core of Republican policy and political strategy. The party’s de facto slogan has become: “Real men don’t think things through.”

Check out CNN, our buddy Edwards seems to have a bit of a seedy past.........

I guess there isn't one politician that is above infidelity.

This touches on why Dems always lose to Repubs. Dems tell us how stupid we are. Repubs tell us how wonderful we are. Assuming we ARE that stupid, which seems undeniable, which message would you expect us to want to listen to?

My guess is that until Dems can change the message to 'Repub Politicians are stupid, WE (the people) are wonderful,' we'll continue to lose to morons trundling out lies and absurdities.

Quite right, of course, that we prefer to accentuate the positive. Why the "shining city on the hill" beat out "conserve energy by wearing a cardigan" in 1980. Why we love "Les Miz" but hate los contras. Etc., etc.
