Paul sent me this one. O got it in about 10 seconds, but neither of her parents did, although we did determine part 1 of the answer. I'll write the answer as a comment.

Yes, they all have pairs of double letters, but that's not all. If you take the first letter, put it at the end of the word, and read the word backward, it's the same word. Too much fun!
