RIP

Along with C. S. Lewis, she was my favorite children's author, although she always insisted she didn't have an age in mind when she wrote. Funny how I was drawn as a child to Christian mystics. Genius.

I don't think J.K. Rowling is a Christian mystic, but there's definitely some interesting (warning: spoilers) relationships to Christianity in Harry Potter too.

(I don't think the "death of God" analyses of 6 and 7 quite hold up, but it's still an interesting piece, especially some of the commenters.)
