My Bad
In three years on the BOE, I missed one meeting when I was rushed to the hospital. Last night, I attended Executive Session but then cut out to have dinner with O because I didn't find anyone to watch her till midnight. I don't know what that says about my level of commitment this time around--or the fun I'm having being back on the Board. . . .

I wouldn't feel bad at all......children CERTAINLY come first and midnight is very late. I pondered the idea of being staff rep on our school board...........then thought better of it!
I can certain see choosing time with O over a long meeting. In fact, I'm happy to make that choice myself. If you find yourself facing that choice again call me. I'll stay with O, catch up on my reading and meditate on the good work you're doing on the board.
MA--It's funny, I got your message just as I was wondering how I can deal with our meeting on the 28th when Paul is once again out of town. I may yet call on you! (I really have to be at that one or face having decisions about replacing the supt made without me.)
