I don't usually link to other blogs; the list in the right column should suffice. But Simon today talks about the reasons to be concerned with local issues/politics in a way that resonates.
I agree with Simon. I think this is a wonderful area, but as I have mentioned in the past, has some issues. I was looking through real estate ads for the Dryden area, and have seen homes that have been on the market for a VERY long time. How can we attract families to our area?? How can we make the schools more diverse? There is so much History in the town of Dryden (my husbands family was one of the first to settle the Ellis Hollow Area). How can we make this town appeal to people?
