As expected, the NYS legislature voided their own agreement with the governor and chose patronage over competence by handing the comptroller's job to DiNapoli. I can only hope that the electorate is revolted enough to vote the whole corrupt sludge out of office in 2008.

As expected, the NYS legislature voided their own agreement with the governor and chose patronage over competence by handing the comptroller's job to DiNapoli. I can only hope that the electorate is revolted enough to vote the whole corrupt sludge out of office in 2008.

Joe Bruno says so, so it must be true:
Noting the Legislature was likely to buck Spitzer and elect one of its
own later Wednesday as state comptroller, Bruno said: "This is Day 2. Stay tuned. This is now the Legislature's (day)."
Argh.
Well, it's certainly not the People's day.
